We survived the county fair!

WELL
Everyone seemed to enjoy our fair booth! The patrons below are inspecting our tank full of crawdads, waterbugs, and other fun stuff.

My partner and I worked four hours on Monday to set the booth up, then traded off shifts during the week to make sure we had booth coverage from 10 to 10 on weekdays, and from 10 to 11 on the weekend. We tore it down finally yesterday, and went home to recuperate briefly before coming back to work today. We are both exhausted, running on E.

And so is B, having been my knight in shining armor all week long, sending food and supplies, being my lifeline, and driving me back and forth. I have lots to say about our booth, but frankly, I'm exhausted and can barely formulate a sentence. Just wanted to pop on and jot down my thankfulness for such a great and successful week, for the support of my family, and that it's finally over.

Now if I can only stay awake tonight through High School registration....

So tired

JUST checking in, folks. I am SO tired that I can barely function. I am working on a last minute couple of projects for our county fair booth exhibit for work, which begins next Monday. That, plus a full time inspection project (unrelated) at work, which has been working 6 days a week with evening callbacks, is draining the sap out of me. And the kids go back to school on the 27th, which means school supply and clothes shopping soon. Plus the girl is doing a fund raiser selling Krispy Kremes to raise money for her trip to New York next spring. Oh, and did I mention the immenent large appliance purchase of a deep freeze, because it's fresh food season? It will be time for corn soon.

Anyway...

B is my rock, my constant, my blessing. He's been working as hard as I on this fair project, mixing the music for my presentation. And cooking dinners. And being patient, as only B can be. I don't know where I'd be without him, bless his heart.

I need a nap....

Back to work.
